Instant Action is one of two multiplayer modes in the Crysis series. Instant Action is the standard free for all game type commonly found in first person shooters. Players spawn with only a pistol, and are forced to find other weapons and armaments scattered about the map. Players can use their nanosuit abilities to gain an advantage while fighting.
A major criticism of the original game's multiplayer was the lack of team deathmatch mode. This was rectified in Crysis Warhead's multiplayer game, Crysis Wars, which features a Team Instant Action mode. This mode is exactly the same as Instant Action but with two seperate teams: the United States and North Korea.
Instant Action matches end when a score limit is reached or time runs out.
